Ladies:
Crystal: My dress was a somewhat tricky thing. Peter actually found the design, and shortly after that, the designer's website with all the photographs disappeared. :( We had visited some local shops in the area, but everything these days seems to be sleeveless numbers. I wanted long flowing sleeves, because I wanted them lined in dark blue satin. One of the shops we went into, the girl working there said "I don't know what your budget is, but there is a local independent designer down the road. She might be able to help you." We figured that we would give it a shot. We went to visit Mojgan, I gave her a brief description of my dress. She picked up a pad of paper, and started to sketch, and showed it me - it was my dress! We talked some more about options and cost - and my custom-made dress is costing less than a lot of dresses we have seen on the rack. The dress itself will be made out of fresh ivory (white) satin, with dark navy blue satin lining the sleeves and beading (with blue integrated) along the neckline and dotted on the sleeves. It will have a lace-up back, with white and navy blue satin ribbon. I found dark blue satiny shoes, and will be wearing a headband of fresh roses in white and blue (dyed) in my hair. I am still figuring out what I will be wearing around my neck, and if I will have time to make something. It has to be something very simple, so that it will not compete or take away from the beading around the neckline of my dress.
Helen: Chris, Helen and Peter's mother, will be making Helen's dress based on this pattern. The skirt, sleeves, back/side of bodice (and 'front lacing') will all be done in a dark blue slightly iridescent (and oh so gorgeous) taffeta type material, with a white brocade for the front bodice panel.
Katy: Katy will be the Usher in our wedding, but I have no idea what she will be wearing yet. :)
Chris (Peter's mother): Peter's mother has bought herself a gorgeous flowing red tea-length dress to wear.
Gents:
Peter & Matt: I've decided to hire from Moss Bros. Both Matt and I will be wearing suits from their Cambridge selection with an ivory waistcoat and navy cravat.
Travis: Since Travis lives in Texas, it's a bit difficult to get something coordinated, so he will be wearing one of his own suits to walk me down the aisle. :)
Dave (Peter's father): Dave has bought himself a new suit for the occasion.
